A Year of Development and Future Focus
Valeryd continues to strengthen its position as a leading provider of spare parts and solutions for trailer vehicles. In 2025, the focus has been on further developing the company’s three core concepts, Easy Search, All In Pro and The Concept, which together create a complete solution for both retailers and customers.
Easy Search provides fast and accurate product matching through advanced search technology and integrated stock information. All In Pro helps retailers increase profitability through clear levels that reward a complete and up-to-date product range. The Concept enhances store environments with well-designed display solutions that inspire and drive sales.
With a focus on innovation, quality and long-term partnerships, Valeryd continues to shape the future standard in the trailer vehicle industry, where technology, service and accessibility go hand in hand.

The Next Step in Valeryd’s Development
In 2021, Valeryd began a major expansion of its warehouse, a strategic investment to meet growing demand and enable an even broader product range. This development increases availability and efficiency for the company’s customers and marks the start of a new phase in Valeryd’s history, as the company continues to grow and adapt to the evolving market.

A Modern Logistics Center
In 2019, Valeryd opened its new state-of-the-art logistics center, a significant investment to meet the company’s growing needs and the increasing demand of the market. With advanced infrastructure, efficient storage, and optimized processes, the company can now ensure faster deliveries, greater accuracy, and even better service for customers across Europe. This logistics center marks an important step in Valeryd’s focus on the future and in strengthening its position as a leading supplier of spare parts.

Preparing for the Future
With a strong foundation in place, Valeryd began preparing for the future. In 2017, the company launched a new, modern website and started construction of a new logistics center in Vårgårda. This was an important step to meet increasing demand and ensure fast deliveries to customers across Europe.

Europeisk Expansion
Valeryd continued its international growth, and in 2012 sales expanded into new markets, including Germany, the Balkans, and France. At the same time, the company also began supplying OEM customers, further strengthening Valeryd’s position as a leading player in the market.

Scandinavian Expansion
Valeryd’s success in Sweden was just the beginning. In 2007, the company began expanding into the other Nordic countries, with a particular focus on Norway. At the same time, new product categories, such as gas springs, were introduced, and the company developed a search engine for these on its website. This innovation made it easy for customers to find the right gas spring, not only for trailers and horse transporters but also for cars, boats, and a range of other applications.

Valeryd milestone 2006
Valeryd launched brake shoes with its own ECE R90 approvals. ECE R90 is a European standard that ensures brake parts deliver the same performance, durability, and safety as original equipment. The products are tested both in the laboratory and in real driving conditions, focusing on braking efficiency, heat resistance, and stability during repeated braking. Through this work, Valeryd contributed to raising the level of safety and quality in the aftermarket.

Digitalization
Valeryd continued to stay at the forefront of technological development. In 2004, ”Valeryd Easy Search” was further developed and made available on the company’s website. This allowed both resellers and end customers to easily find and order spare parts online. In addition, users could now also locate their nearest store.

The Birth of TheConcept
Demand for spare parts continued to grow, and in 2001 Valeryd introduced an innovative store concept. The idea was to offer resellers a complete system for trailer and caravan spare parts, making inventory management and purchasing easier. This concept was successfully presented at the Auto Fair in Jönköping and immediately received great attention.

A New Era and a Milestone
When Magnus Larsson took over the company in the early 1990s, he had a clear vision for its future. In 1991, the company reached an impressive milestone when the 10 000th trailer under the Valeryd brand rolled out of the factory, a testament to the company’s long term success and growth. Many of these trailers are still in use on Swedish roads today.
After running trailer production until 1994, that part of the business was sold. However, Magnus saw great opportunities in the aftermarket and embarked on a new phase in the company’s history. He launched component manufacturing and developed the software Valeryd Easy Search, making it easier for customers to find the right spare parts.

A National Success Story
During the 1970s and 1980s, Valeryd continued to grow, and their trailers spread across Sweden. The company’s products quickly became known for their quality and durability, which contributed to their rising popularity in the market. Valeryd had now established itself as a strong player in the industry, and many of their trailers from this period are still in use on Swedish roads today.
It was during this time that Magnus Larsson, son of Per-Owe Larsson and the current owner of Valeryd, took his first steps into the family business. He started in production, learning the craft from the ground up by welding, assembling, and painting the trailers.

Expansion and Establishment
Demand for lightweight trailers grew rapidly, and it became clear that the small workshop in Larv could no longer keep up with production. The company moved to a larger facility and was given the name “Valeryd Trailer,” inspired by the nearby location Valeberg, close to Ryd. During the 1960s, the business expanded at a rapid pace. The brothers went from producing trailers to order to mass-producing them, allowing them to offer a wide range that included trailers for transporting both horses and cars.

The beginnings of Valeryd
In the idyllic village of Larv, just outside Vara in the heart of Västergötland, two brothers, Bernt and Per-Owe Larsson, ran a small car repair workshop. They focused on repairing cars and trucks, but their skill and innovative mindset soon led them to perform custom modifications on trucks for local farmers. In 1958, they received a request from a local entrepreneur who needed a lightweight trailer that could be towed by a car. This marked the beginning of something big. The brothers took on the task with passion, and before long, the very first unbraked lightweight trailer rolled out of their workshop, a product that would soon prove to be highly sought after.
